Woza Soccer offers authentic international summer service trips for high school and college soccer players, using the game to create connections across cultures. The groups are coed and comprised of players from across the country. The only requirement for joining a Woza group is bringing a love for the game, an open mind, and an adventurous spirit.
As a nonprofit, Woza Soccer prioritizes keeping trips financially accessible and uses their proceeds to support its partners abroad. With soccer, service work, and cultural immersion at the heart of each itinerary, the organization strives to broaden perspectives of players by demonstrating their abilities to connect with people of all backgrounds and engage long term in soccer-focused social impact.
For the past two summer, Woza Soccer has awarded 11 full scholarships. Only a limited number of full scholarship recipients are selected from a pool of applicants who have submitted the Scholarship Application. Full scholarships recipients must fundraise at least $500 towards their trip cost and remain flexible with their summer dates and destinations. This year two Starfinder teens were awarded scholarships! During July, Kendra Chan will be traveling to Peru for 18 days, and Gregory Roach will be traveling to Malawi for 19 days.
We’re so proud of both Kendra and Greg! Follow their adventures here!
