Senior Leaders Program
The Starfinder Senior Leaders Program is a soccer based out-of-school time activity that intends to enhance the personal growth of underserved youth through soccer and learning experiences that engage, inspire, and motivate. The program is offered to high school aged youths, from underserved communities who are passionate players and who aspire to a higher level of performance as students, athletes, and citizens.
Participants in the Senior Leaders Program will be equipped with the means to express their opinion on issues that are relevant to their daily lives, community, and globally through use of different communication media. They will be introduced to online blogging, photojournalism, and creation of video documentaries.
Starfinder will provide participants with career strategies guidance through college testing preparation, individualized college counseling and financial aid advice, visits to surrounding colleges and universities, and mentoring from student athletes from the surrounding universities in Philadelphia.
