After completing one of the aforementioned programs, children may continue in Starfinder with the intended goal of pursuing soccer skills as well as enhancing academics and character development. For students willing to make a strong commitment, the Community Development Centers will be easily accessible from their neighborhoods. Community Development Centers are designed as an evening program that focuses more on leadership and character education as well as soccer skills development for older elementary school children (4 th through 6 th grade) and less on academic assistance. It is a three-day per week program including two evenings per week, plus a Saturday inter-Beacon soccer league over 28 weeks.
